Today ask yourself a simple question- What is the worth of your life on this mother earth?
How long does it take you to get an answer? Do you even get an answer? Should it be taking you this long to get an answer?
The conundrum arises of the fact that the world compares worth as per the Forbes List. Worth is measured in respect of the money you possess. Hence the problem. Is a new born then absolutely worthless?
We are obsessed with giving numbers to everything and then comparing them. Even though we know that we can't give a man's worth only by his bank balance, car, house etc. Yet we give them numbers and even strive to increase them. It is a case where we know everything yet prefer to ignore the obvious for the lust in the darkness.
Even the number crunchers describe the house, the car, the job as an "asset". Now isn't your honesty, friendliness, morality, an asset. If yes, then why shouldn't that form your worth. But how do we measure that. So we take the easy way out and ignore it altogether. Hence, what it gives is only an illusion of worth and is in no way the True Worth.
Your True Worth comes from your inner self. How worthy do you consider yourself to be. Your dignity, integrity, self-respect and above all a clear conscience. A self satisfied man runs after no rankings and yet attains more than other people might. What's agonising is that you can't take away anything from him. He doesn't counts on his money but his conscience. You can't pull him down. None of the politics works against him. All one will end up doing is getting deeper in the darkness in trying to do so.
We must remove the blind folds and realise this simple fact. You are what you make yourself to be. There are no setbacks, no failures, no disappointments if all you do is give your best all the time and go in with a clear conscience. Being honest to self must always be the only priority. All you are answerable to is yourself. So, realise your true worth and let go of the baggage you have been carrying so long.
"The real measure of your wealth is how much you'd be worth if you lost all your money."
