There are times when you are alone, alone with yourself and dreaming away in tranquility. Dreaming with open eyes, anytime of the day, hearing the sound of silence, taking in the serenity of the ambiance and never feeling lonely for a moment. Such moments are rare but lead to a great deal of self provocation and awareness about self. You learn new things about yourself.
Nothingness is a great way to reach out to your inner self. Forgetting everything and dreaming about something you love, you almost get lost in some safe arms that hold you tight. Giving you strength, comfort and pleasure. It also makes you realise the arms that you seek. It could just be the moment you need in the times of distress, discomfort or disbelief.
The problem is that we spend very little time with ourself. Claiming to know ourselves inside out, we spend little quality time with self. What we need at these times is seclusion and solitude. A time when you are neither happy nor sad, not bound by any emotion, not feeling for anyone else, just a state of vacuum, absolute nothingness; like on a deserted island. Alone and everything to explore. Exploring your own lands which you never really visited beyond.
All our lives we live by perceptions. Our perceptions of the world and ours. We never really explore the possibility beyond those and happily abide by them. What we have is actually an illusion of self as in the busy lives, who has the time to know who we actually are.
All this might seem strange and many might disagree but I ask you some questions which you should know. And you surely will if you know yourself well enough.
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
What is that you set to achieve?
What is your purpose in life?
Why did you cry when you knew you shouldn't have?
How do you define yourself?
Now you might have prepared these but this time you have to answer to yourself and it's the cruelest judge. So, spend some time with yourself. Some random purposeless time. Find those arms of strength, arms of realisation and those arms to belief. See if it makes you feel better.
If I could hear me now
Singing somewhere through the lonely nights
Dreaming of the arms that held me tight
Only if I could only hear me now.
